How to sing the cuisine of South India

Inspired by Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” song:

Once I was seven years old, my mama told me,
“Go invest in yourself or you’ll struggle.”
Once I was seven years old

Once I was thirty years old, my story got told
I started sharing all the amazing recipes I learned from my mom to the world
Once I was thirty years old

This recipe is called Bisi Bele Bath (Bisi = hot; Bele = Lentil; Bath = Rice) and is a traditional dish from Karnataka (south India). The preparation of this dish is elaborate but totally worth it!

And here’s my amazing mom and I! I tried to get her to pose for a selfie 🙂 🙂
